Fast and Lightweight: A Real-Time Parallelizable MPC for Embedded Systems
This research paper was published as a result of scientific cooperation between STU in Bratislava, EPFL Lausanne (Switzerland), and ShanghaiTech University (China).
The paper investigates possibilities to accelerate the real-time evaluation of optimal controllers implemented on embedded hardware using parallel computing. The proposed method outperforms other relevant approaches in terms of runtimes/accuracy.
The parallel computations were implemented in C-code, providing a user-friendly interface for MATLAB. The source code of ParExMPC is freely available on GitHub.
We are pleased to announce that our project has been distinguished as one of the Top 3 Twinning projects in Slovakia (2014–2027) based on the financial contribution received. This remarkable achievement highlights the impact of our work within the FrontSeat project, reinforcing our commitment to research excellence, international cooperation, and innovation under the Horizon Europe framework. Through our efforts, we continue to strengthen scientific cooperation, empower researchers, and drive forward groundbreaking advancements in our field. Read more here.
